Hello all can anyone help me find tyres for my 1986 bentley turbo r please. I've had them on order for nearly 2 years now but have gave up hope and looking elsewhere. My tyre sizes are avon cr27 turbospeed 255/65/r15 106v any help would be much appreciated thank you, Al.

The 255/65x15 tyre size has always been pretty much exclusive to to RR/B. The only other tyre company that made this tyre was Kumho but they deleted it several years ago.

North Hants Tyres have had the 255/65x15 on order for maybe 2 years as well and promised supply has always come and gone. You have to remember that Turbo R was a small amount of cars, then take away those that are no more and been broken for spares, then take away those that see the road very little and you may be left with a handful of cars. AVON is owned by Cooper who in turn are owned by Goodyear so they are not interested in a really small production run, even if they do with the high light on date codes they will no longer want to sit on them and have to dispose of them when date code expires for a manufacturer, as Classic tyre specialists we struggle to balance between supply dates and nos stock.

Desperation has set in and we have now sold a couple of sets of 275/60VR15 tyres, it has the correct o/d but is a little wider. The important thing is it has the speed and load index. The information can be seen on the north Hants tyres .com website
