I happen to find myself in Bangkok on an extended stay for the next year or so. Not allowed to buy a car (Thai Gov rules) and car hire is extortionate so researched importing my Continental GT from London to Bangkok which it appears can be done.
Popped into Bentley Bangkok to see if they could offer advice and maybe assistance plus service the car when needed and maybe offer breakdown assistance.
Now Thailand is they say is the Land Of Smiles and true to form the Sales Manager told me, with a smile, to F*ck Off! Not using those exact words but that was the general gist.
Even told me to contact "one of the grey importers" who import foreign cars into Thailand...mmmmm!!
So much for Bentley service....not impressed. |
