The Speed 6 that has been generally called the Blue Train car is a one off 3 seat coupe by Gurney Nutting.
However as I understand matters, it is now believed that this was not the car used by Barnato. He actually used a Mulliner bodied saloon Speed 6.
There are replica 'Gurney Nutting' cars built (I believe) by Racing Green, using either Bentley Mk VI or RR 20/25 chassis as their basis.

Just to confuse the issue with facts, there were 30 Arnage Blue Train Series built.

I do find it strange that Bentley motors and the BDC (in the club house) both perpetuate the myth that it was the Gurney Nutting car that raced the Blue Train.
Perhaps Darren was referring to the Arnage cars?

Me too. They do say you should never let the facts ruin a good story, but they are surely stretching the point here. I suppose one only needs to consider the corporate ethics of the parent company to put this behaviour into context?

I mentioned those Arnages because those are the only official Blue Trains that were built in multiple numbers as far as I know.
