I'm seriously considering buying a late-model GT Gen 2 (W12), but have heard varying opinions regarding their reliability. I know that some have very positive experiences, but others less so. I'd be very interested to hear the community's experience of their late GTs, and whether they can become the money-pit that some suggest. I know that a lot depends on buying a 'good' example and I plan to bide my time, ideally buy from an enthusiast, and hopefully not end up with a 'dud'. That said, some specialists have advised I should budget on a minimum £3k/year for servicing and repairs. Many thanks in advance for your advice. |

I purchased a 2013 Continental GT in 2019, with the W-12 engine. It had been based in Florida and had 12,500 miles. I live in Virginia and have since put an additional 8,000 miles on it, including several multi-day trips. It has performed brilliantly (see my letter to the editor of the Review in the June, 2023 edition reporting on one of the trips). Routine annual maintenance performed by local Bentley dealer and only one issue, replaced bushing on front end as they were wearing out. |
