Technical Facts recommends fitting a Payen Oil Seal C170 to reduce leakage at the front end of the crankshaft. Anyone know where this could be obtained? or any other ideas to reduce leakage?
Anyone know the diameter of the crankshaft as it emerges at the front?

I expect you have already tried NDR, who administer the Spares scheme. If not, they would be my first call.

Hi John
As it is a proprietary brand I simply Googled to find it rather than go through the spares scheme, but it must be worth a try.
However, on closer inspection I can't see how to fit a conventional oil seal. The pulley flange is welded to the crankshaft, so without grinding off the tags and re welding I don't think it will be possible to fit one, so I will find another solution or put up with the weepage.
