Hi all, I'm currently designing the blower output manifold for fitment to my special. I am attempting to copy the visual styling of the original WO Bentley Blowers.

One thing I am stuck on is the detailing of the blow-off-valve (pop-off-valve) (backfire-valve), as fitted in three places on the original; 1 on the output manifold on the blower and 2 on the engine intake manifold.

Can anyone help with drawings, photos, sketches, advice of where to look for one, buy one, copy one? Any clues would be greatly appreciated.

You could ask Ewen Getley at Kingsbury Racing at Bicester Heritage. A google should find his contact details.
He has recently built up a blown 4.5 so will either have made valves or know where to buy one.

Hi Jayde,
You're lucky to live in a country where building vintage-style specials is still allowed (if not, well done for doing it anyway!).
You may care to email former chairman Ron Warmington who is a helpful chap, and has a '29 blower rep. He may be able to help you with photographs and measurements.
It's also worth contacting Wroxton which has a lot of blueprints which were rescued from the service centre after the takeover by RR. Of course the original drawings were burnt by their new owners.
Stephen

Thanks John and Stephen, I appreciate the leads.
Very interested your comment about not being able to build specials anymore? How very dissapointing.
