Thank you everyone. ok update and new issue to soilve...I have full ignition
Thank you, I have the locking working now and the windows so you may be onto something re seat ECU
The mirrors and seats still dead...
I assume it is the one under the drivers seat? I am trying to get it out but the seat is stuck in a difficult position.. ill keep at it!
what usually fails in this ECJ and can it be fixed?
Thank you, John, it could be an ecu or module but is there one that would affect windows, locking and seats etc as all dead?

Could these faults be caused by a partial failure of the relevant ecu? |

Is there a wiring diagram available? That should tell you what is dealing with what!
One of the (many) things I like about my WO car is the lack of electrics, although many decades of previous owners messing with the wiring still throws up an occasional inexplicable problem. It is usually a bad earth somewhere. But that is not of much help to you. I wish you best of luck and perseverance, you will get there! |
