|
|
I have recently purchased a one owner from new 2004 Continental with 54,000. It has 15 annual services at Bentley main dealers. Some years ago I had a Arnage T and used a trickle charger running the power along the boot guttering to the charger which sat in the boot.
With the Continental having two batteries I would appreciate some pointers on how best to set it up. Do I need to charge both batteries and assuming I have two power cables into the boot where is the best place to bring the cable into the boot.
I am a 'rejoin' member from almost 15 years ago and served on the Eastern Region Committee as Treasurer. I am looking forward to taking part in the many activities.

I unfortunately can't answer specifics for the Continental, but the Arnage also has 2 batteries. There is a port for the Bentley specific battery maintainer that is supposed to take care of both batteries, but my car didn't come with the tender, and they are quite expensive to buy one with the correct fitting.
I have instead put the little "pigtails" on the batteries with the standard-style plug and used 2 separate tenders.
I store my car inside, so I just leave the boot-lid open. I do manually close the latch so that the light does not stay on.
The rubber seal is thick enough to allow closing the boot without damaging the cable though. |
