I see that there is a delightful Gurney Nutting saloon coming up for auction in Paris next month. With the dramatic drop in prices over the last couple of years, assuming the car is in sound mechanical condition, it could be a bargain.
it would be a lovely thing to tour with in the winter!

Thanks for that, John. That does look a lovely thing. I hesitate to say that because me expressing that sentiment usually seems to result in the car in question being destroyed by "restorers". I hope a more dignified fate awaits this one!

They sold another one last July, in rather more patinated condition. You wait ages for a 3L Weymann saloon, then two come along at once (nearly). It's not clear whether the £126.5K includes the buyers premium + VAT. The fact that most of their results are in round figures suggests probably not.

I have only just seen this thread and I love the car's looks, though I imagine you would have to be careful reversing it.
