Has anyone had a go at renovating their "A" type gearbox?
Would love to hear
Is Brineton still in business?
NDR and DH DAY seem to have the very same parts list as if its sourced from another supplier

Tula bought all the Brineton stock and trading name last year, theyre Bugatti specialists. I havent asked what their plans are for the Bentley spares.

I have a new set of internals to go in my A box, not sure when I will have time, but it looks like an easy job.

I live local to Brineton, someone I know says they scrapped all the Bentley stuff in the scrap yard next door.

Thank you all for responding
Brineton never made contact
The old gear set were pretty worn but the bearings were not too bad. Replaced bearings as well.
New gear set looking good as we begin to reassemble.
The main issue is end float on the main shaft, said to be .004" and we have settled for about .008"
Eccentricity in the lay shaft is next.
All in all it has not been too challenging.
Along with replacing the cone clutch and clutch brake we are looking forward to some smoother motoring!
